Implant Info Sheet

Dental implants act as permanent, artificial tooth roots. They are fixed in the jaw (the bone in the jaw actually fuses to the implants!) and give your dentist a secure site on which artificial teeth can be attached.
Implants can also be used by your dentist to anchor your dentures/(removable false teeth) and prevent them from moving around in your mouth.
The Tenax Dental implant system is a fifth generation implant system. That means it is the most modern system, employing a revolutionary design which provides advantages over all other implant systems available to date.
It truly is Advanced Dentistry from Advanced Dental Care Centre Ltd.

The One Surgery Approach
The Tenax Dental Implant System™ requires only one surgery instead of two, thanks to its one-piece design. That means less time in the dental chair for you and a faster healing than traditional implant systems. (And with this system surgery is easier for the dentist than with many other systems.)
1. A jaw in cross section
2. The implant is inserted through a cut in the gum
3. The gum is stitched AROUND the one-piece implant. The implant is ready to support a cap once it has healed from the surgery.
Tenax implants have a porous coating. It is made of thousands of little metal beads layered on top of each other and fused together in a furnace, not glued. This coating provides a network of interconnected holes into which the bone grows. Porous coatings are known to be effective and have been used in medicine for twenty years on artificial knees and hips. Because of the bone in growth, a porous coated dental implant becomes more rigidly fixed in the patient's jaw over time. After completed healing, porous coated implants are better anchored than a screw-type implant systems.

The components of the Tenax Dental Implant System™ are cemented together with the same reliable methods that dentists have always used.

With the Tenax Dental Implant System™ method of denture attachment, hygiene is easy.
• The denture is easy to care for in the usual way.
• The implants can be cleaned with an electric or a standard toothbrush.
Most other systems require special brushes, floss and plenty of time.
