Dentures

A partial denture is a removable dental appliance that replaces one or more missing teeth. It can be attached to the teeth with clasps (clasp or conventional partial) or it can be attached to the teeth with crowns with precision attachments (hidden clasps). Both types have plastic teeth and pink gum areas. In cases where all the teeth are missing a full denture is recommended. They come in 2 basic flavours.

Acrylic Dentures :
These are made of acrylic which is a type of plastic material. This is the most common type of replacement because it is the most economical.

Alloy Dentures :
These are usually more comfortable than the acrylic ones because they cover a smaller area and can be tooth supported i.e Supported by the natural remaining teeth.
Full Denture :
This is used to replace all the missing teeth in one arch of the mouth.
